Awesome little Walking Trail Near Folsom Lake.

New York Creek is located on Salmon Falls Road about 1 mile from El Dorado Hills Boulevard. Once you turn onto Salmon Falls Road from El Dorado Hills Boulevard, you will want to drive for about +/- 1 mile and on your left hand side you see a small turnout. There is a green electrical box, you cant miss it. Once you park there, you can walk down the trail and choose a direction to walk, run, hike or take your horse.
This is a great little walking trail that runs all the way to Folsom Lake with epic views and great places to do mini day picnic trips. There are so many options for photography at this location. I will be coming back. You can shoot photography of the bridge, photography of the trails and even photography of the lake and views! I noticed a buck (male deer) while I was out there, however it was about 100′ away so didn’t even bother shooting it. What I am trying to say is that, there are plenty of sights to see when walking the New York Creek Trail in El Dorado Hills.
If you have some extra time on the weekend, I would highly recommend walking, running or trotting this trail. Take the kids (watch out for poison oak), take the dogs and head down to the waters edge on the New York Creek Walking Trail in El Dorado Hills, off Salomon Falls road with views of Folsom Lake.
